STEP 1, Locate your meter box, generally found towards the front of a property, near the street. The box is typically in a direct line with the main outside faucet. It is housed in a black plastic box usually marked “water”. Remove the lid by using a tool such as a large screwdriver. Insert the tool into one of the holes and pry the lid off. Be very careful not to damage the wire on the lid that is attached to the meter. STEP 2, Once you open the meter box lid, lift the protective cap on the meter. On the face of the meter, there is a large display of numbers. To be accurate in reading the meter – read the numbers with bars on the top of the numbers. The far right number starts at a 1/100 of a gallon. The second far right button will measure 1/10 of a gallon. The third one from the right will read in gallons, after that 10 gallon, 100 gallon, and so on. Read the number display from left to right. This is your meter reading. Meters measure water in gallons. Charges for the amount of water consumed are rounded to the nearest gallon used during a billing period. Compare that reading to what your bill states as your current or present reading.

STEP 3 Keep in mind that you might be checking your meter on a date different from the one used for billing. This could result in a difference in the amount you find, compared with the amount on which your bill is based. However, if your reading is considerably higher than what is on your bill, check for a leak or try to determine the source of large water use. If you have any questions or concerns please contact us at 918-682-6380.

Payments may take up to seven business days to post to the customer’s account. Please consult with your bank for more information.

Only chemicals that are approved by the National Safety Foundation for treatment of drinking water. We treat with chlorine and not cloramines.
All public water systems are required to maintain a minimum chlorine level of 0.2 mg/L (tested at the end of each line) by state law. Systems that use chloramine as a disinfectant must maintain a level of 0.5 mg/L by state law. Our disinfectant levels are tested daily to ensure safety.
Most likely your water heater needs to be flushed. CAUTION: Most manufacturers recommend hiring a professional to flush your water heater. If you plan on doing this yourself, read the owner’s manual to keep from being hurt and or damaging the water heater.
